MOVIE SUMMARY

New installment of the legendary series of Star Trek, directed by the creator of the series “Lost”, which tells how Captain Kirk and Spock met. Everything is ready for the maiden voyage of the most modern ship that ever created: the USS Enterprise. His young crew has an important mission: find a way to stop the evil Nero (Eric Bana), revenge-driven threat to all humanity. But the fate of the Galaxy is in the hands of two young rivals who were born in different worlds. One of them, James Tiberius Kirk (Chris Pine), young of a farm in Iowa that seeks emotions, is a born leader in search of a cause. The other, Spock (Zachary Quinto), who grew up on the planet Vulcan, is a pariah because of his half-human, which makes it susceptible to instability of the emotions of the Vulcans. But Spock is also a brilliant and determined student. The crew of the USS is led by Captain Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood). They are also the medical officer, Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban); the man who will become the Chief Engineer of the ship, Montgomery “Scotty” Scott (Simon Pegg); Uhura (Zoë Saldaña) communications officer; the experienced helmsman Sulu (John Cho) and the young man of 17 Chekov (Anton Yelchin). All are facing a dire first test.
